RELUM

Relum (2023, WIP) is an exploration of the space colonization algorithms through abstract generative animation and creative programming (custom software). It symbolizes human exploration, innovation, and the quest for new frontiers.

Space colonization algorithms exhibit complex patterns and structures, and abstract animation inspired by these behaviours can delve into the intricate networks, chaotic patterns, and atonishing geometries found in nature and technology. This project was a great opportunity to experiment just with lines, shapes, and textures to evoke the complexity of both natural and artificial systems.

I focused on recording the behaviour and process, not just the final output. The beauty of emergent art lies in the path, not in the end.

A tree’s beauty lies in its branches, but its strength lies in its roots.

etching ouTputs

I explored how etching abstrat generative can be a rich and versatile medium for creative expression, combining technical precision with artistic experimentation to produce visually captivating and emotionally resonant prints.

The sharpness of etched lines and the ability to control line thickness and depth make it possible to create intricate, highly detailed images with a high level of abstraction.
